Chapter 2 as remembered by Fishkopp
The main roots of team Hell Katz stems from the old days of Wayne Dollack scenarios at Skirmish USA back in the early 90s. We were just a bunch of guys who played some paintball together. There were many different teams we played under back in the day, but mostly we only played 3 games a year. We already had many contacts in the industry from playing the sport for so many years and figured what the heck. So in 2006 Team Hell Katz was officially on the map. Some of our concerns were how do we build a good paintball team and attract good all around people in the process? It was simple, we would just invite the people we liked; and what do you know it worked. I’m proud to say everyone on our team is truly a team player but also an individual as well .We seem to have many leaders on our team and often we are asked to perform some type of role, be it a general or some type of third entity position. We are a very Family orientated team , and are comprised of good down to earth people with good moral values . We do have a strict code of conduct, and try to promote the sport in such a way to make our sponsors proud of us. Our motto is simple , ” Fun at all cost”
Chapter 1 as remembered by Fishkopp Well it all happened back when the dinosaurs roamed the earth, maybe not that long ago .I’m thinking it was 1986, and don’t ask me what month or what season it was. But it went something like this “hey Mike you want to play this cool new game called paintball?” said General Rob. “Sounds cool, why not” was my simple reply But much to my chagrin, it wasn’t anything like I imagined it would be. It was more like a crude game of football. You had blockers out front who would take the shots so the runner could run the flag back to the base and hang the flag for the win. The markers were inaccurate and paint cost $5 for a full cigar tube. The 12 gram co2 was only good for about 10 or so shots. When you changed your co2 the whole field would hear you and bunker you. There were no semis or pumps just hand cock and reload. The bottom line was simple, we were hooked, and we lived the history of paintball.
